Sandusky County's Historic Barn Mural Trail is the PERFECT day trip while socially distancing

Updated: May 19, 2020

If you are like most families at the moment, you are tired of Netflix and being stuck at home with nothing to do. Don't sit around any longer, load up your quarantine mates and hit the road and make your way to Fremont, Ohio to start the 1-hour, self guided historic barn mural trail. Several years ago the Sandusky County Convention & Visitors Bureau partnered with nationally known artist, Scott Hagan, AKA "The Barn Artist" to develop our Sandusky County Barn Mural Trail. There are currently 6 barns total and artwork depicted on the murals is representative to the areas local or national history.

The Barns are located throughout Sandusky County and will take you along some beautiful back roads showcasing the beauty of Ohio's vast agricultural countryside in what is some of the nations best farmland. We remind you to please observe all traffic laws and drive safely while taking in the trail and also remind you to please be respectful of the property owners and do not trespass on the property without permission.

You can download your barn trail map here or use the turn-by-turn mobile browser experience at https://www.sanduskycounty.org/barns
