Leslie Knope (NBC’s Parks and Recreation) asked many hard hitting questions, but the most important may have been ‘why would anyone eat anything besides breakfast food?’
In this episode of ‘Exploring Northwest Ohio with Cathy,’ the team at Everyday People Cafe shows just how true this statement is. Everyday People Cafe opened in Bowling Green in 2017 and quickly became a favorite among the BG community.
Offering huge meals made from fresh, local ingredients and delicious drink options at affordable prices, it’s not hard to see why. If you ask the locals,
they’ll give you a list of their favorites that include: corned beef hash, biscuits and gravy made with their homemade sausage gravy, pancakes topped with fresh fruit, and their house recipe ‘Mega Mary’s’ that are only available on Sundays and loaded with delicious goodies.
While Everyday People, has quite a few menu staples, they also like to switch things up with a rotating selection of cupcake, muffin, and cinnamon roll flavors! These flavors are just as unique as they are tasty. Past flavors include: Pink Lemonade and Rocky Road cupcakes, Churro and Blueberry Cinnamon Chip muffins, and Black Raspberry Cheesecake and Strawberry Champagne rolls. They also switch out their Mega Mary toppings also change, so you have something new to try every Sunday! They also have monthly drink specials that you will really want to try.
Not in the mood for breakfast (we LOVE breakfast, but understand that everyone’s palette is different)? Everyday People also boasts a delicious lunch menu with HUGE salads, a White Bean burger, and a sandwich called the Dagwood that is piled high with an assortment of meats, cheeses, and toppings. If you’re looking for a savory dish, try out their soups! They have a rotating Soup of the Day that is perfect for soup lovers.
Everyday People Cafe has a beautiful atmosphere for indoor dining (complete with a fireplace), a patio for you to enjoy the wonderful Bowling Green weather, or for guests on-the-go you can order carryout.
